Congratulations SVBTA! We obtained Partner Status with the
NBTAPAC in 2009. Your contributions of sending emails to
the house and senators on relevant business travel topics,
attending the chapter meeting to hear the speaker, Shane
Downey, and giving of your personal funds to the NBTA PAC
have all contributed to the 2009 Partner Status.
Chapter Partners were the leaders in helping to stop the
“business travel and conferences are bad” mantra coming from
DC dead in its tracks. As a result, instead of defending the
industry, NBTA is promoting the economic benefits of business
travel to a receptive Congress. Partners were the leaders in raising
funds for the NBTAPAC. The NBTAPAC is crucial to electing
members of Congress who understand the importance of business
travel and will work to see NBTA's Legislative Agenda passed.
Chapters who reach Partner status show to the rest of the NBTA
world that they are involved, active and making a difference!
Because of this status, SVBTA was granted the opportunity to take
a photo with Captain Sullenberger at NBTA. Congratulations!
